  • The toddler sling

Those of you that use slings have probably seen the way it can be strung to hold the kid in a piggy back way. Like this -my first attempt at posting a pic taken from the web:

This is working out well with my 2 yr old. I was surprised to find when I tried it today that I can pretty much do everything with him on my back.

That's good to know....I need to give it a try. Right now I carry him around in a metal frame backpack carrier while I vacuum or do yardwork. Not the lightest thing to be carrying around. Great workout, though.

Oh, the sling is so much easier on my body than a backpack. I get headaches and sore shoulders when I wear him in the backpack and ithe backpack is far more bulky in areas I am not used to being aware of. I was totally surprised at how easy and natural it was to be conscious of the space around my lower back as opposed to upper back. It gave my abs a workout though. I don't know if I had it tied the wrong way.
