  • Securing Furniture

I've been procrastinating this for too long, but my 2 YO son is starting to climb things to get what he needs, and I've got visions of a bookcase coming down on top of him. So I ordered these Safety 1st furniture straps, which are supposed to secure the furniture to the wall. DD is also beginning to open her own dresser drawers to get her clothes, so I should do that one too.

Anybody have any experience with these things? How can I do the minimum damage to my house (other than find the stud first, so I don't make 40 holes looking for it ... )

    from dh:

    find the stud
    don't use wall anchors
make sure to secure it to the strongest part of the furniture
