  • Vsmile?

Aidan has been playing with Alex's leapster for several months and it seems to be on its last legs. I'm contemplating buying a replacement or else a vsmile.

Anyone with experience with vsmile? both?

I am considering getting the LMax for Alexia because you can plug it into the tv and play it portably (It also plays all leapter and Lmax games). It's a lot of money, but it is supposed to be good for ages 4-10. She is only 2 1/2, but I think she would have fun with it anyway. I would like to know about the VSmile though as well.

We have both and love them both. Quinn just got the Leapster as a gift from my friend for his birthday, and both boys have been all over it -- I've actually considered buying a 2nd. I love that the games are truly educational -- I don't even feel like it's a cop out! Jacob has been walking around sounding out words after playing the "Talking Words Factory", and telling me what animals are predators after playing the "Animals" game.

We got the VSmile from Santa last year, and it is also a hit w/constructive games. A word of warning - be sure to buy the extra AC adapter. It doesn't come w/one and we were plowing through batteries.

I love that both series have games appropriate for large age ranges, and they can grow w/the kids. I'm really happy w/both.

We have loved the V-Smile, although it has been on a long hiatus lately. I expect it will be seeing lots of action as the weather deteriorates.
