  • I'm thinking we're going have to do CIO again!!!

I'm thinking the Crying It Out fairy is going to have to visit my house and I'm just dreading it.

DD has always been a bad sleeper. With controlled crying, we got her down to just one waking a night. That number started migrating up when (my fault), I went back to nursing her at night to get her to fall back asleep. Then she was sick, so everything went to hell in a handbasket. Last night she woke up screaming every 1/ 2 hour from 9- midnight, then woke up for good at 4:30 am. We're both exhausted.

I hate doing CIO. It seems so mean, but I know it works. The fact is, she needs more sleep too! She's whiny and throwing tantrums every 5 minutes, so I know she's exhausted.

I'm not looking forward to tonight.

I'm sorry, I know how tough CIO can be. Jack sleeps through the night pretty consistently now, but it was a long road for us to get to this point. He is/was a very stubborn baby, who could cry for a LONG time if left to do so. He finally started sleeping well a few months ago, my problem now is the early-morning wake-ups ... but that's a different problem.

I hope tonight isn't too tough, good luck!!
