Ive just registered to try and find a babysitter for a work related thing with SO and had 2 applicants straight away from 2 students one has loads of experience and studying psychology and the other has worked in daycare and studying childcare. I'm so impressed, but still worried as ds will be in a strange enviroment and out of his own time zone but hopefully will have settled by then as its 10 days into our trip.

I'm running a background check on both girls. Its only for 4 hours but hoping I might get to meet them a couple of days before hand or something so I feel more comfortable.

What does anyone think?

Yes, had great luck with great babysitters. In fact I plan to re-sign up now that we've moved.

I'm not sure if they have it here, but need to try to find out. I'm pathetic and DH is continually teasing me about not leaving the munchkins with anyone, but family (they older ones are 9 and 10) I'm just scared....

i used to be a sitter on sittercity.com (actually think i still am, i still get emails from them)!! But I have had great experiences on there, found a really great family that i nannied for one summer and still occassionally babysit for, the girls are so cute and fun!
