the festival of lights

i have decided to take it upon myself this year and hang our white lights myself. waiting for dh would pretty much be useless.

so, i just hung the white lights around the mantle...and ds keeps asking me if we're ready for Hanukkah yet??? he also wants to know if he gets any Hanukkah gifts this year?

"i get big boy presents, caitlyn gets big girl presents and sarah gets little baby presents???"

"when daddy gets home, we all get presents?"

ummmm....what happened to "it's NOT ABOUT THE PRESENTS????"

i got most days done by using the dollar bins at target. they each get one big gift, 6 small cheap(er) things, and then they get a group gift for the last day.

anyone else done shopping? I am!!!!!

Dude is getting a rug for his room, a musical instrument set, a tricycle from his grandparents and I'll throw in some stocking stuffers.

I wish! I even work AT the mall and can't get finished. Of course if DH doesn't get his rear in gear his family may not get gifts this year.

I finished before December. Half of my gifts are wrapped! I shop for my mom, stepdad, dad, dad's wife, 2 brothers, sister, best friends #1-5, my boss, SO, SO's parents, and well, I usually throw in a few things for myself. So yes, all finished!

I'm done except for something for DH. We usually exchange gifts, nothing to big, but I need to get something for him. I think I'll let the kids pick out a casual shirt. I've been updating the photo albums and he, uh, is wearing the same shirt A LOT. Time for another option.

I'm waiting for a few things in the mail and will need to ship them (I have stuff to add) and then I should be totally, completely done. Baby pressure isn't a bad thing!
