I'm trying to do "search" to locate the recipe...but it doesn't appear to pull up any old threads/ posts?

We use malox and vaseline - Dap on some Malox with a washcloth and then top with vaseline. Although lately I've been forgoing the vaseline and we haven't had a problem.

I think that a different recipe was posted by Genevive (spelling?). Can you do a search for her posts?

        ouch.
Triple paste has worked well for us - just dry the affected area thoroughly first after each change.

We have used Maalox and Aquaphor (similar to Vaseline).

It's a combo of the two recipes posted here: Malox, Aquaphor & Desitin (the original, not creamy). Mix really, really well. It saves the day!

diaper rash paste? My kids couldn't use the desinex type stuff. My dad said that at the ER they prescribed a diaper rash ointment which you can make yourself- with lanosil (fungal foot cream stuff) and hydrocortisone (1% was fine). I just would squirt those two on, and rub in, and it worked really well for my kids. And it was pretty cheap- we just bought the main ingredients at costco.
