  • I looooove you Miss Hannigannnnn!

My kids were really into pretending to scrub the floors for a while. Everything was a "hard knock life." We could get them together for a show.

Do you have the Carol Burnett or Kathy Bates version?

This was my FAVORITE movie when I was little!

The Carol Burnett version, of course!!!

Mine too! Monica, Kristie and I used to have a rousing rendition of "It's a Hard Knock Life" complete with choreography on their bunk beds!

I am so old that I can remember both seeing that movie in the theater AND renting a VCR and the movie and watching it at DH's house with his brothers and my sisters. We were all obsessed with it and even now could probably sing every song word for word.

My mom (four daughters) LOVED to sing "Little Girls" to us.

Lucy has been on a mega Annie kick lately and has taken to saying, "I loooooove you Miss Hannigannnnn," to me, well, all the time, and especially when I tell her to do something, anything. I shouldn't take it personally, right?

I fully expect my kids to start addressing me with "Yes, Mommy Dearest" soon.

I took DD1 to see Annie when it came to Nashville last year. It was GREAT! I still remember it from when I was a kid. I can still picture... "you'll stay up till this floor SHINES like the top of the Chrysler Building..."
