  • Warning: Cranky posting within...

Ok, vent time. DS (almost two) is sick with a cold. Lots of runny nose action, some coughing, etc. We are going on night 4 of waking up several times during the night and SCREAMING "Mama! Mama! Mama!....etc." until I go get him. On top of this DH is in the MICU this month with Q3 overnight call, and he doesn't budge to help with DS (when he's home) during these nightime tantrums. He says he doesn't hear him....I find that hard to believe.

Unfortunately, we have a full sized bed (it's ridiculous, I know) so 2 adults and 1 toddler DO NOT fit comfortably in it. So, once DS falls back asleep, I try to move him back to his crib...this hasn't been working...

Of course, all I hear about is how DH is "sooooo tired" from his call. Yeah, well I am too. Humph. I don't know about you med spouses, but although I DO realize that call is very tiring, etc, I sometimes get SICK AND TIRED OF HEARING ABOUT IT. No one in our house is allowed to be more tired than DH (EVER). NOt to mention the fact that I work a full time and part time job, do all of the household chores, have done all of the christmas shopping, etc.

Sorry. I'm usually not a wicked witch... Today is a bad day, I guess. I jsut need to vent.

:therethere: Just reading your post has me exhausted! It's really hard when you're not getting any help and feel like you are carrying the whole parenting load. Hang in there!
