  • Toddler meals

(Not sure if this should be in the recipe forum)

So my 18 mo DD has been turning her nose up at everything lately. Things she used to love, she now rejects. I'm not a very good or creative cook. She likes dipping things. I would love some meal suggestions. Thanks!

Well I'm not a mom so I don't know if 18 month olds can eat this stuff but what about:

    hummus with celery or pita
tzatziki (but without the garlic maybe) on pita
    fish sticks
    chicken nuggets
penne pasta and dip it in the sauce (tomato, cheese, pesto, etc) (not sure she will eat pesto actually but you can try)
    mozzarella sticks with tomato sauce
quesadillas with some sort of non-spicy salsa
guacamole with bread, raw veggies... don't think she eats chips yet does she?
pigs in a blanket (dip in ketchup)
tiny pancakes that she can dip in syrup

Maybe just google some finger foods and see what is kid friendly (and stuff she likes.. or used to anyway)...

Nikolai loves those Morningstar Farms Veggie nuggets- he prefers the Spinach-Artichoke but he'll eat the broccoli ones. I make a mustard/mayo "fancy sauce" and also give him ketchup and he thinks he's Joe Cool.

He'll eat any pasta covered in butter as long as he's allowed to spoon on the parmesan on top.

Scrambled eggs and toast are huge.

      Grilled cheese sandwiches.

PB and J if you're not worried about peanut allergies.

Cheese and crackers- he loves cheddar on those Carr's waterbiscuits (my odd child prefers the herbal ones)

When my girls were small they would eat green beans and broccoli, fresh or steamed dipped in Ranch Dressing.

My son is almost 2 1/2 but he is very picky. I bought that book Deceptively Delicious by Jessica Seinfeld with veggie/fruit purees "hidden" in tasty foods. He has liked some things.
