  • Toddlers and prayers

Anyone else say prayers with their kids every night? We do the "Now I lay me down to sleep....." prayer and then ask DD what she is thankful for. The things that she is thankful for sometimes crack me up. She is almost always thankful for Daddy, Mommy, and Lilly and from there she lists some of these:

    - the fan (as in - the ceiling fan in her room)
    - castle (as in - her little people castle)
    - love
    - books
    - everyone in the world whose name she doesn't know
    - the lamp

The prayers makes our recent bedtime battles much more tolerable.
Cranky Wife to a Peds EM in private practice. Mom to 5 girls - 1 in Heaven and 4 running around in princess shoes.

We read stories, pray, & then I sing a customized good night song.
My little ones are funny w/ there responses too! We will say "Allah Salim" (May God watch over & protect) and then mention the names of family & loved ones... they like to include "Big Goldie and Little Goldie!"
These are the names name they have assigned to our minivan and their dad's car
