I've been pulling out the baby/toddler gear we still have. We have the Phil and Teds E3 stroller with the doubles kit which I LOVED when I had two kids still in diapers, too small to walk long distances, and I lived in a city suburb where walking was a nice perk to the community! I won't need the doubles kit this time around but it will be nice to have a small all terrain stroller with this new baby so we can keep moving.
DH hit this stroller with the car when we moved and bent one of the back wheels that come off when you travel. I need one new wheel to snap in and anticipated a big hassle to get JUST that small part.
I notified Phil and Teds last week and they got me the number of the person to call in the US.
So I talked to "Susan" who was charming, knew her stuff and SOO helpful. She found the wheel for me and WITH shipping I get the replacement wheel by Thursday for less than 25 dollars. Are you kidding me? That's WAAAAYY to easy. I also can replace the fabric on the stroller and the foot panel for less than 40 dollars which we don't need -- but it's nice to know in case there is a big rip I'm not aware of right now!!!!
So apparently customer service is still alive in this country depending on who you deal with!
Yippee!!!
On a side note I'm wondering if European brands are easier to deal with? Our Maclaren stroller had an issue a few years back and it was SILLY how helpful they were to fix the problem that we, the customers, partly created. Both Phil and Teds and Maclaren are NOT american companies. Hmmm.
