They've actually fixed the bathroom issue. There are now bathrooms in each boarding area. Phew. But yes, it IS wacky (and quite unusal -- I've been in loads of airports and it's the only one like this I've seen). Each area (divided pretty much by airline) has 3 or 4 gates, and their own security. If you had a flight that landed at 22 and you needed to board a new flight at 14, you'd have to go back thru security. But since they're generally grouped by airline, I doubt that happens a lot.
