  • What kind of mom (dad) are you?

    Another cute parent survey: http://www.juiceboxjungle.com/truth-and-dare

I am a Type-A Class Clown (so true!)

You are a complex Mama! You are organized, never run out of milk, and you book birthday parties 3 months ahead. But, you're able to let go: you're not an anal foodie, and you're not a strict disciplinarian. You do your best to get the kids a healthy meal but if pizza pops up three nights in a row, so be it. You tend to be loads of fun for your kids. You throw yourself into kids play with great passion! Forts, crafts, soccer games, you do it all! You run riot with your kids in the park and then find it in your heart to bake cookies for the PTA. But watch out! Those smart little monkeys may learn to play to your loose side and sneak around some rules from time to time, which may make your life more difficult!

    Your pointless jungle activity/challenge:

Play hooky with your kids one day and let them pick the local destination. Fly by the seat of your pants even if they choose Chuck E Cheese. Don't forget to tell us about your experience!

    Results: Mother Earth
You are a mama of the earth! You make sure your kids are fed the best organic food and are enabled to express their creativity freely. You are quite able to chill out and let the little cubs wrestle and play. And if the Lion is the King of the Jungle, then you - Cool Cat that you are - must be Queen. As queens tend to be, you are more suited to expert supervision than down and dirty tussling with the cubs. You know how to involve them in important activities of course, but Mama's got to have her space! But watch out! With your laid-back nature, laissez-faire discipline and hands-off play style your kids may think you are less interested in being a part of their play than you actually are. Or not.

    Your pointless jungle activity/challenge:
Take kids to McDonalds and let them eat as many chicken nuggets and fries as they can (followed by ice cream sundae). We're curious whether they stick out their tongues in disgust or lap it up so don't forget to tell us about what transpires!

This is kinda true for me. I am much less likely than DH to get down on the floor and play with DS. I always chalk it up to having 800 other things that must be done RIGHT. NOW. for the family to make it through the day (um clean clothes anyone, dinner?)

      Results: The Cool Mom

You are the Mother we all love to hate because you're so damn POPULAR. Your kids love to be with you and yet you don't let them push you or anyone else around. You are also able to chill out and let the little punks monkey around and get messy. You also don't mind getting messy with them. You're tons of fun: you throw yourself into kids play with great passion! Forts, crafts, soccer games, you do it all! You do your best to get the kids a healthy meal but if pizza pops up three nights in a row, so be it. It's hard to find fault with your type so please be prepared to have friends begin to hate you or exhibit extreme jealousy. Enjoy!

I'm a "cool mom" like Kelly.

I liked how it gave you the option to take it again and lie.

          It's pretty accurate.

We're willing to bet no one has ever had to tell you to "Chill Out". You're not an anal foodie, and you're not a strict disciplinarian. You do your best to get the kids a healthy meal but if pizza pops up three nights in a row, so be it. You are quite able to chill out and let the little cubs wrestle and play. Your pointless jungle activity/challenge:
Hold a "do as many chores as possible day" where the kids earn money or kisses for straightening their room, preparing lunch or dinner, or helping a sibling. Don't forget to tell us how they do! You might be surprised how much they love it!

Re: What kind of mom (dad) are you?

I took the quiz twice since there were a couple of questions I really could've gone either way with and the two results I ended up with were The Big Chill (1st one) and Type A Class Clown (2nd one) both of which are pretty accurate.

            This was a fun quiz!

We know you're confused. But admit it, in college you did love the concert mosh pitt, right? You're just a little nutty like that. You are a complex mama. You can't be pushed around by your kids, and you make sure they are fed the best organic food and get to bed on time. But, you are also able to chill out and let the little punks monkey around and get messy. You also don't mind getting messy with them. You're tons of fun: you throw yourself into kids play with great passion! Forts, crafts, soccer games, you do it all! Enjoy!

I like to think I'm this cool. But yeah, I did frequent the "pit".

It's not all monkey business in your world! You are organized, never run out of milk, and you books birthday parties 3 months ahead. You're not, however, an anal foodie. You do your best to get the kids a healthy meal but if pizza pops up three nights in a row, so be it. Not only do you serve the ever-popular multi-night pizza once in a while...you are loads of fun. You throw yourself into kids play with great passion! Forts, crafts, soccer games, you do it all! You run riot with your kids in the park and then find it in your heart to bake cookies for the PTA. Your friends would hate you if you weren't so much fun!

                  Your pointless jungle activity/challenge:

Wait until five minutes before time to leave for school to get the kids dressed or make lunches and have them decide quickly what to wear and eat that day. Ask them how they liked picking their own clothes and lunch and whether they think they did a good job. Don't forget to tell us about what transpires!

I also got The Big Chill. I think that combo means I'll do a lot of the wacky kid stuff, but I'll groan and roll my eyes first.

Suck-up! Okay, sorry. It's just that we're jealous. Do you always have to get an A+?! You are organized, never run out of milk, and you book birthday parties 3 months ahead. You can't be pushed around by your kids and you make sure they are fed the best organic food and get to bed on time. And if the Lion is the King of the Jungle, then you - Cool Cat that you are - must be Queen. You know how to involve them in important activities of course, but Mama's got to have her space! Your kids are well-behaved, accomplished, and a joy to be around, but don't expect your house to be the place the gang gathers in High School. You'll more likely be the mom disapproving of the "rambunctious Jones house" where all the kids gather to eat pizza, watch movies and have slumber parties. And you like that just fine!
