    Last night was perfect!

I was giving Sophie her bath when she got that really still look on her face. I didn't scoop her up fast enough and she pooed in the tub.

Luckily DH was home and able to clean up the tub while I held her. While she was wrapped in a towel on my lap, she spit up all over me.

The coup-de-gras was when she peed on my lap 30 seconds later.

    I just had to laugh.

If that's not motherhood - I don't know what is! It's amazing how much goo we'll tolerate when it comes from our sweet little babies (as I sit with snot all over my new shirt and no plans to change it).

So very true. Kids are veritable factories of all kinds of ick and yet we keep them and have more!

I'm convinced that this is precisely why babies are so stinkin' cute

DS used to tub-poop when he was 2-1/2. Actually, it was tub-poop-and-pitch-it. DH called them Code Browns.

              So sorry!!

DS didn't poop in the tub until he was on solids, so then it was just a matter of scooping it up.

But BF poo? Yuck! There is a reason I got to cuddle her while DH cleaned up. (That and he would have been convinced that I didn't clean it well enough!) I would much rather have been pee'ed on than have to clean up the poo.

Jenn - that was my grandfather's opinion on why the young of any species were cute. To prevent infanticide.
