So I pulled little E (9 months) out of daycare and we are going to do a nanny share with him and another little girl who is 11 months. The other mom and I are going to buy a double stroller to use during the share and are hoping to get one used. We live in Boston but in the suburbanish area. Sidewalks are very bumpy and I tend to use the jogging stroller instead of the Maclaren on these streets. Also, sidewalks tend to be narrow and a little tricky to maneuver on trash day. So my question is...what is the best one out there? I really want to find something that the nanny can comfortably use especially when winter hits. I really would rather avoid paying into the multiple hundreds but would love to hear thoughts, strollers to avoid etc. Thanks!

I love love love my bob double. I use it for running and walks. I don't have experience with any others though. We got ours at 20% off during the annual sale (REI). But I think they are on sale that month almost anywhere you can buy them.
good luck!Wife to PGY5 ortho resident

This is the one we have and purchased it for about $400 last January. The only issue I see for a toddler and pre schooler is if they are too tall. Double check the heights or have the kids strapped in at a store to make certain it will be a comfy fit for them. They are a bit bulky too. We store ours in the garage so it's not a problem getting in and out of the house.
Looks like the sale right now for BOB's at REI are only minor discounts and not all models. If you ship it to a store they put them together free of charge too.Wife to PGY5 ortho resident

Around here I see a lot of Mountain Buggy Urban doubles and Phil & Ted doubles. The phil & teds is narrow but the Mountain buggy is super easy to maneuver and both kids get to ride up front. I also occasionally see Bob doubles.
Good luck choosing.Wife to Hand Surgeon just out of training, mom to two lovely kittys and little boy, O, born in Sept 08.

So we bought a Valco runabout from a family in our neighborhood. They used it only a handful of times and sold it for $150 (w/ the rain and net cover) and they originally bought it for ~$600. The stroller looks new, fits through doors and drives like a dream. I put dibs on keeping it after the share in case we have a 2nd little one. http://valcobaby.com/products/stroll...pi1%5Buid%5D=4. Thanks again for all the suggestions!Danielle

I'm in the market for a new stroller. I was looking at this one because of the sit/stand option for the 3rd. I plan to babywear, but I thought being able to strap all 3 down might be worth it. It looks HUGE and one of the reviews on Amazon said she couldn't get it in her Yukon XL. I'll have to measure it out for my wagon....63 inches folded is LONG!
