Alison you are in the right place to find a good au pair or nanny. Lots of my friends out there used to share a nanny. I had a great gal two mornings a week for three hours that I shared with two other moms. She was American and the daughter of dd preschool teacher so different than maybe what you are looking for. When you get in a moms group you might be able to find out more information. Also check the parks, the au pairs used to all go to the same park (the big one in Los Altos, can't remember the name).
