Well, availability is an issue here right now. Also, I'm kind of wondering about the safety. Does that sound weird? I might be over thinking it. I know they basically tested for dosing but are assuming safety. How effective will it be...the flu vaccine is pretty hit or miss as it is.

To me, it seems like the hoopla about h1n1 has been overplayed. It is much less virulent than the flu itself.

I don't know. It is not an option yet but when it becomes available, I may revisit this discussion.

That was my thought initially too, but just last week a 5 y/o in my neighborhood died from it so I'm completely sold on the vaccine.

The vaccine hasn't become available in our state yet, but once it is we'll be getting it.

It won't be available in Canada until mid-November, so I'll be watching what happens in the US; if there seems to be a low risk of adverse reactions, then we'll probably get it. We got the regular flu shot this week.
