Does A have head control yet? I always felt like dd was a sack of potatoes when she didn't.

It got much easier when I could actually use my other arm to do stuff.

They just chubby up for a couple of years, and then one summer, when they hit about 15, they have washboard abs and are super duper skinny. The 6 inch growth spurts help there I think.

Anyway, all my kids have such different body types. Yet another thing that amazes me about the uniqueness of children.

Back to the original post--- sorry for the hijack--- if the doc says all is well, go with it!!! Poor you though! that must get heavy to carry around after a while.
My back has been killing me. For V-Day my mom got me a message at the spa. Not too long after the gal got started she asked me what I do for a living. I told her I was a SAHM to a 3 month old. She was quite for a while and then said "I wondered because you have lots of knots in your back and wanted to know what type of profession would or could cause someone so much tension in your back"

That was a very thoughtful gift!!!

That's a good point about head control Alison-- once they can sit upright carrying them gets much easier.

I can't tell you how much I needed that!

Re her head control... it's not going all that great. We've had a set back in the last week. The PT was not happy with her progress, and I'm not either. I took her to the pediatrician yesterday to discuss. My mom thought we needed a xray to rule out any ortho issues. The doctor was willing to go down that road and sent us over to get the xray right away (BTW I love this doctor we have) and the xray showed that everything was normal. Back to the PT for now.

Alison- I did notice 2 days ago that she was starting to pull her head up and her feet up at the same time while laying on her back. I hope that continues!

She didn't really care for it and neither did I. LOL! My friend supplied the outfit and bow. It was cute and all, but I didn't like that I can't see her hair.

so cute! I'm impressed. On the day of my daughter's baptism, it took me hours and 2 helping hands to get my daugher looking cute, fed, happy and presentable. I have yet to get her a real professional photo and I shudder to think about getting it all together for a photo shoot. I don't know if you took these yourself, but they look very professional and nice!
