I ask my potential daycare providers questions that have nothing to do with daycare as well. I want to know about their background, their family, where they're from, where they're going. I want to know what they do for fun, etc. I ask all the regular questions too but I find that asking the nondaycare questions helps you get to know them better and see if they really do fit. For me a big question was "will you follow my schedule." I was a scheduler and the older grandmother types liked to throw my schedule out the window. Good luck!
