  • She's crawling!

Dd turned 6 months old on March 1, and while I didn't leave her on any floors while we were in SF for the brief few hours that we were there this weekend, my sense was that if I were to have done so, she would go places...

And when I brought her home, that is exactly what she did. I set her down on the floor to wash up after our trip home, and.... she'd made it a good 3 feet over to her basket of books and toys! Granted it isn't crawling in its most efficient sense, but holy crap, I wasn't expecting this at 6.5 months. Uff! She can't even sit up on her own yet, and she keeps her legs entirely straight and army crawls.

I've been searching the Internet for outlet plugs, but I want ones that I don't have to remove each time I want to use the sockets.

Do you have any recs? TIA!

alison, we use these: http://www.safety1st.com/usa/eng/Pro...l-Outlet-Cover they are spring loaded so that when you take the plug out they flip back. I'm pretty sure I got them at Wal-Mart or Target.

I love the army crawl, I think its so cute!

So FUN!!! Now the excitement really begins!!

No recs on the outlet covers. We use the old fashioned remove every time you use type.

Thanks, ladies! I'm a little concerned about the ones that you can remove when you use them, because dd is the type who will have a huge toy in her hands, and will sit there trying to get the battery door to open or lick at a tag on a stuffed animal, and not actually play with the toy. She's started looking at outlets, and so I'm a little worried that she'll pick the covers off.

I think you can get those outlet plate covers that have the slide-to-plug-in front at home depot. We have several of those and I think we just picked them up there and replaced the standard covers.

Hi alison, how's it going? Don't worry for DD crawling to early, I have read an article that says most babies learn to crawl between 6 and 10 months. How's your luck with outlet plate covers btw?
