  • Prayers for Three Families

Please pray for Brittni, her husband Daniel, and their son J, who has gone through 6 different antibiotic treatments for chronic ear infections and continues to suffer. Tubes will be placed, but not until June (!) -- they're on a waiting list, but are very worried about permanent hearing damage and language formation.

Please pray for Jen, her husband John, and their son E, who was recently diagnosed with cystic fibrosis and has already undergone 5 G.I. surgeries in his short life as well as multiple organ transplant evals.

Please pray for Morgan, her husband Al, and their son M, who has had recurring headaches and went in for an MRI and was diagnosed with chiari malformation, Type I. They are waiting for a neuro consult to discuss options and the operation itself.

So many sweet kids, suffering - breaks my heart.

    Thank you -- Adrianne

How difficult it must be to have all three of these things on your heart. I'll be praying for all three families (and you)

I have a friend who had the chiari malformation and didn't have the surgery until she was about 22 - she had a long recovery but she is now living a normal life.

        They are in my thoughts.

One of the girls in Russ' med school class had a chiari malformation (not sure what type) - she had a surgery right before graduation and I'm pretty sure it wasn't the first or the last....but she is in a peds residency and is one of the coolest people from Russ' class.
