  • broken toenails....?

When dd pulls herself up, I notice that she curls her feet and stands on her toenails. OUCH! And she tends to curl her toes in when she crawls, and pushes off from her toenails...

    And they break!!!

    Is this normal?

I think so. I've noticed the same thing with Zoe sometimes, that half of her big toenail will be broken off or something. I take it that it's time for me to cut her nails. Similar thing happens with her fingernails. She's really into scratching things, I think she likes feeling different textures. So when her nails are too long they start to peel back sometimes. I just think they're too long when that happens. In general this whole crawling (well, more like inch-worming forward) and pulling up to cruise stage is killing me. The kid's already got so many scrapes and bruises that she looks like a boxer.
