DH will join in the backyard tramp outlawing. Surprisingly, we see TONS of doc families with these. Usually those that don't deal with peds, though. DH is working on the local coaches here to take kids out of games (very popular, I know) for a blow to the head. With babies - I mostly use my gut, I guess, but am not above calling my pediatrician for anything.

Exactly -- especially since Natasha Richardson seemed to be coherent and fine after her fall. Dd fell on carpet, and Richardson on snow -- both technically soft surfaces.

And of course Gary Coleman was in the news the other day, too.

Ugh. Not fun to think about. I was told to keep an eye on dd for 72 hours, and check on her overnight. And as you mentioned, to keep a close eye on her to make sure she's able to move her limbs equally.

One thing that was interesting is that the pediatrician asked how long it took for dd to cry after she fell. If they cry pretty much immediately afterwards, then that's a good sign.

That's good to know. So, she's still feeling okay? Glad it was just a bonk!
