  • toy recommendations for 11-month old

I'm looking for something electronic that will keep dd busy while we're on our road trip. She has had this since she was only weeks old:

    http://www.amazon.com/Baby-Einstein-.../dp/B000YDDF6O

She loves it, and can press the button herself. I call it her iPod.

Dd likes buttons, monitors, and playing music.

What are baby laptops like? Is she too young for a Leapster? I can't even tell what it is, actually.

    Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

I think Leapsters are 4 and up, I wouldn't buy one for A if that tells you anything.

Does she like things that make noise? Will that drive you nuts? Go to Amazon and put in Elmo phone, there are several that play music and make noises, some that light up, etc.

We got A a laptop for her 2nd birthday, she still doesn't really play with it the way its meant to be played with but she does push the buttons, etc.

Oh, I mistyped. I meant a Leapfrog baby laptop. They don't actually have activities or tasks for the child to complete, other than some magnetic farm animals. Something like that. I thought it might be fun while she sits in her car seat for hours on end.

I have Barnyard Dance, and dd loves the book. She tries to stomp her feet when the book says it, and it's hilarious to watch.

M likes dh's and my electronic gadgets. I'll look into the cell phone, Cheri, thanks. I honestly don't mind the music and voices as long as dd seems to enjoy herself!
