  • Britax Roundabout or Marathon??

We really like the Britaxes, and have narrowed it down to the Roundabout and the Marathon. A is a pretty tall baby (90% height, 75% weight). The seat may travel on the plane at times, but I am not sure which one to get? I've read a zillion similar posts, just not comparing these two. Thoughts oh expert IMSNers??

(Sorry this is abbreviated...holding A in one arm, typing with the other)

    TIA!!

We have both. My 3 year old has already outgrown the Roundabout. He's still fine in the Marathon. I'd go with the Marathon -- it'll last you longer.

We got the Roundabout instead of the Marathon because that thing is gigantic. DH and I are both tall, and the Marathon facing backwards would not have worked in our full size sedan. Our three-year-old is tall and skinny and we just passed the Roundabout down to his little brother.

I have no experience with the Marathon but we just gave A's Roundabout to her brother. We could have kept her in it for quite a while longer though and she's 2 1/2.

FYI - diapers.com is having 20% off britax right now.

Check Albeebaby.com, too. Sitewide 20% off with code "20off" plus some Britax are marked down. [ETA: Looks like the 20% code can't be stacked on already-discounted Britaxes.]

I thought Albeebaby always had Britax sales in September and January, though, so I don't know if this *is* that sale or if there's an even bigger sale come September.

Thank you guys for your advice - we just bought a marathon in cowmooflage. Amazon was having a pretty significant sale on them, so we went for it. I'll update further when it arrives (maybe with a picture or two).

That's what I have in my car! Love it! My friend's 3 year old loves when she gets to run errands with us and we take my car so she can ride in Kenny's cow seat.

I just tired the 20off code for an already-discounted Marathon. It didn't work. I got a message: "Coupon code 20off only applies to certain store items. Please note that some or all of the items in your shopping basket do not qualify for this coupon offer." The carseat was the only item in my cart.

MrsK - Amazon has Britax on sale right now (last year's models). Not sure when the sale ends though. Good luck! And - my Marathon just arrived, A is sleeping, otherwise I'd try it out right now! Big, but looks really nice.
