  • Baby Josie has arrived!

Josephine Mary arrived at 2:47 this morning, a full day ahead of my scheduled c-section as I went into labor rather suddenly and unexpectedly!

I was awakened at midnight with (what I didn't realize at the time were)
contractions, they quickly became really regular and painful and my water broke
about an hour later. I called L&D and they told me to come in, but it was 1am
and my in-laws live 20 minutes away (we needed them to stay w/ the kids) and it was really obvious that I couldn't wait for them to arrive for DH to drive me to the hospital so ... I ... took a
cab. I don't think the cab driver was very happy to see me.

When I got here, the contractions were coming really fast and painful and they
prepped me for surgery. DH barely made it in time to come to the OR with me,
and Josie was born less than 3 hours after the contractions started. I'm still
a little freaked out by how quickly everything happened!

    She's 7lb 6oz, we're both doing well!
