Our last two are exactly 20 months apart. I am not going to lie after 2 years it is still hard, but each day gets a little easier. I think the best advice I was given came from my mom, "make sure take some time out of your day for you." It was hard at first because I also had a 6 year old. But, just taking a long hot shower after they were all in bed was the only time I got to myself. Now I try to take a few minutes during nap time just for me. No, chores, or paying bills for at least 30 minutes. I would recommend trying to take a few minutes everyday just for you, even if it is just 10. It makes all the difference in the world. Also good luck my hubby is a third year DO student too.

My first two kids are 24 months apart almost to the day. Residency with a toddler and an infant took on a whole new meaning with regard to a "good day." It was hard. It does get better though and try and celebrate the small victories. I remember coming home in a down pour from the zoo. DH happened to be home (post call) and was shocked I'd even try to go out that day. It wasn't raining when I left and I NEEDED to get out of the house. We dressed for the weather, brought the rain guard for the stroller and had a great time!

I'm sure you're doing a great job. It just feels like chaos is a moment away.
