I <3 my Essure, and mine was definitely not in-office (I was under a general because they did an endometrial ablation at the same time, which they don't do any more) but be ready to explain it to *every* new medical professional you talk to. NONE of them I've talked to have any idea what it is. The ob/gyn types have usually at least heard of it; I had a ultrasound tech who was excited to finally get to see one (she hadn't before then).Sandy
