  • Never fall asleep when your 4 year old is awake

    Just. don't.

I should have learned my lesson when I did that with my first born. But all she did was get into all the scrapbooks and photo albums, and then helped herself to a few frosted cupcakes that were on the kitchen counter. That was bad enough to institute that rule.

I did it again this morning with the boy. Fell asleep on the couch. He was awake. Next thing I knew...poop. And only part of it was in the potty.

Well, once you've cleaned poop off the toilet seat and the bathroom floor, your day can't get any worse, right? Right?

              LOL

At least he didn't "poop paint". You'd think at 4 you could do that, but nope!

When I broke that rule dd1 was 5, I was preggers with twins and exhausted, and she gave herself the haircut AND a matching haircut for her American girl doll.

Since then if I need a nap I'll sit on the couch with themwhile they r watching tv-- I can snooze but still be able to prevent most massive catastrophes!!

Glad to hear your day is going better V!

Did you put on a movie for him? I take a nap every few days with the two-yr-old while the four-yr-old watches a movie. Yes, I'm horrible.

No, but he knows how to get the tv & Wii on to watch Netflix.
