  • Infant/Toddler Shoes/Boots for Snow

    Hey all,
My dd recently started walking (woot!) and she is currently in See Kai Runs (Smaller) Toddler shoes and I ordered another pair of SKR with a flexible soles so that she can go outside. We do get *some* snow and ice in CO (not as much as many of you) and I'm looking for something that might be good for the winter weather.

    TIA!

Also, don't buy pink boots. We own every pair of snow boots and pants that we have ever purchased. Each year the kids just go grab the next size that fits. We have one of those big moving wardrobe boxes in the garage where we keep all that stuff. When the first snow hits, we're ready to go. (The tween wears my boots and shoes now so I'll start wearing his hand me downs I guess).

Good luck finding anything that us a real snowboot that is smaller then a 6, R ended up having to wear a larger size with his tennis shoes in them because I looked high and low for an actual boot with an actual boot bottom in his size and I couldn't find one.

I was wondering about this too. BabyK will be 2 in December. Does he need boots? I'm so stupid about this having grown up in Florida. I didn't even get boots myself until half-way through last February and that was because I was pregnant and worried about slipping on the ice with a toddler.

I'm also wondering what to get for DD for this winter. I have a pair from last winter that she only wore once. I'm planning on procrastinating until it actually snows.

I had to have boots for mine because they had to be outside when I shoveled otherwise I'm not sure R would have needed them last year.

I feel like I should work for LL Bean...maybe it's because I went to school in Maine. We got E the boots below and he did a great job in them. They start at size 5. They are velcro and not zipper so we had to help get him in them but he could run in the snow with them and never complained of cold feet.

I second LL Bean. They also happen to have a fantastic return policy: even the "I just didn't like it" works with them. Something to consider, in case you're worried about shelling out the cash and getting less than what you expected.
