          I don't know why but i can't help but do #10 every single time. She's right, it never works!!

              Best Toddler Rules:

              -Do not negotiate with terrorists. Toddlers are terrorists.

              -Only give options that you want chosen. "Either put on this coat or that coat." Not, "Which coat do you want?" because they'll grab their fluffy Elmo costume and argue that it counts.

              -"Because I'm the mommy and I said so!" is an entirely appropriate response to every situation.

              -"I'm in time-out, go away!" is totally legit.

                  My mother taught me #1 when I was a kid. She'd always grumble about other parents who did it. Dh does the "do you want to?" thing all the time. It drives me crazy. Why on earth would you give her the option?

                  "unintentionally violated by giddy elves" is hilarious.
