Sounds like a target run is in order for comfortable pants and a few nursing pieces but buying post-milk is the better plan. I'll check out the various top options. I'm generally not that modest plus I have a nursing cover so some of these options will definitely work!!

Nursing Clothes?

I have Target nursing tanks but they seem to run small in the bust ironically. So it is hard to find a size that fits everywhere. The tanks are convenient though
I tried to buy some stuff before and it is too small and useless now. Then I got desperate the day my milk came in and bought stuff while I was engorged. Another bad idea. Had to return a few things. I do like Targets soft cup bras though.
I plan in dropping some money on a good bra from the boutique Michele mentioned in another post.
Finally, I did get one really good tip from the LC...don't pull your shirt up, roll it up and under. Way more effectiveMarried to a newly minted Pediatric Rad, momma to a sweet girl and a bunch of (mostly) cute boy monsters.

Havent' read all of the replies, BUT, I've breastfed three babies and I've never found nursing clothes to be helpful. A nursing bra, yes. All of those fancy tops, dresses, no. I always have 3 or so good nursing bras for each baby, and with my last baby I had a hooter-hider. Lifesaver. Definitely buy a hooter-hider. Save your money when it comes to the nursing clothes. Even nursing tanks, I guess it depends on how big your boobs are, but mine always end up a full C with breastfeeding and I just yank it down under my boob. No need for snappies.

Ok, so I went to Target the other night and got 2 nursing bras and 2 tanks just so I have something for when I come home. I haven't taken the tags off of anything just in case something doesn't fit. When I got home, I tried some of them on (with the giant pregnant belly) and then unhooked the side and busted into the room where DH was studying and flashed him. He died laughing. These tank tops are hilarious with the little boob holes in them. Especially when you hook both and just have these two circles with your breasts sticking out (all enhanced by the belly). We were dying laughing, I literally couldn't breathe.
I'm not sure we're mature enough to have a baby.Married to a Urology Attending! (that is an understated exclamation point)

The boob holes are exactly why I prefer the glamourmoms tanks. It was just uncomfortable (physically, nor mentally) having something ebcircling my breast and I did not find the taks supportive enough.Wife and #1 Fan of Attending Adult & Geriatric Psychiatrist.

So full of life. When I'm done having kids, I'm getting a breast augmentation and I swear all I want is my nursing boobs back.
