Tara, not on purpose. Like if she falls asleep really quickly while eating, I'll pick her up to burp her, she'll wake up and be upset. A few times I have had to pull her off because we had to run out the door and boy was she pissed... I guess we'll just see what happens with the bottles. I have this (maybe irrational) fear of over feeding her consistently and stretching her stomach.

I'm glad I didn't miss some baby schedule train. I don't really mind things the way they are, but I didn't want to be setting her up for screwy sleep habits too.

Veronica, she is going to be so spoiled between you and my mom and your girls. It makes going back to work do much easier knowing that while I'll be missing her, she'll be well taken care of and loved. We're so lucky!

Wraps: when they are really new I like the ease of the stretchy wraps like a Moby. (I actually just have a piece of stretchy knit fabric from the fabric store that I use.) For older babies and even toddlers I love my Storchenweige Inka. It's so cushy, but also thick and warm so not so good for summers.

I also have a mei tai and the structured ones like an Ergo (mine are Kangas by BlooKangaroo).

Oh, I get it! I'm a bit slow today, lol. That is perfectly normal too. I always attributed the crying after falling asleep at the breast as a, "hey, mom I'm sleeping, leave me the heck alone and now let me nurse to go back to sleep". Not because baby is wanting more food.

Do not worry about, "stretching her stomach" and creating a future problem. Not gonna happen, it just doesn't. Babies have a wonderful sense of knowing when to eat and eating what they need. They are not emotional eaters like us adults. Put that fear out of your mind.

You are doing awesome mama, keep up the great work!

We didn't even try to schedule until patterns of awake and asleep began to solidify... At 5 months.
DS just started taking naps with regularity at 8 months.
It's not that I was anti-schedule, I just didn't want to spend all my time trying to make him do something that was futile (at the time).
His bedtime gradually became earlier as he got older, and he now goes down around 7pm.
          Do what works for you!

I'm not much help in regards to feeding either, as he ate what he wanted, when he wanted, and I stay home. He was the world's slowest feeder, and the first 6 months of my life I felt naked up top about 75% of the time.
He's much more efficient now, but he's also had 10 months of daily practice to get there.

Holy schmokes am I jealous of N's eating habits! Go baby go!
I agree with all the suggestions you've gotten. Her sleep with organize and the eating will too. Give her what she wants--I know my dd is a bad example, but often with bottle switches/refills, she'd get bored and not take the second offer.

My DS ate so much when he was an infant. It was an amazing sight to behold! He would eat 8-12 oz in a sitting. It was just what he needed. He was still thin , though, and our pedi was flabbergasted at the amounts, but just said that we must be doing okay because he was growing like he was supposed to, and was definitely not overweight.

I just think you feed a baby until they are done. They'll let you know.

Sleep will come too. She's still tiny yet.

I hope I'm not jinxing myself by posting this, but I think we've hit the sleeping baby jackpot (for now)

We've been putting her down with a full belly (usually swaddled) in her co-sleeper when she is half-asleep or at least calm, turning of the lights, and shutting the door. And she goes to sleep. Sometimes it takes her 45 minutes, but she doesn't cry--I just have to go in and stick the paci in every once in awhile. And she's out. For the night. Until at least 4am...sometimes even until 6 am. Then I make DH change her, he hands her to me (swooping in mouth wide open straight for the boob) and I nurse her lying down while we both go back to sleep. We've gotten her to sleep in with us until 10 or 11 am!!!! She loves cuddling in the morning and I think she really takes her sleep cues from us. Going back to work will be interesting, but this is a great start!

Knock on wood. Knock on wood. Knock on wood.

That is great news!! I loved the early morning nurse/snuggles before work.
