Runny Noses?

My kids are both snot fountains. All. The. Time. In every season. Claritin did not help K1. Any suggestions other than carrying two hankies and not mixing them up?

Boogie wipes are about $10 for 140 (I think) on Amazon. We buy several canisters at a time and refill small pocket/purse containers if we go out. WGW - Great invention, we love them.

I have always thought they were just wipes with great marketing. I'm adding them to my shopping list (do they sell them at Costco?).

They're saline wipes and I get the unscented off Amazon. I haven't seen them at Costco, but you never know.

I was told A's should get extremely better once her adenoids are out. R doesn't seem to have the same problem.

Claritin might be too weak. It's universally scoffed at by allergists and ENTs. We have much better results with Zyrtec.

For preventing-- it gets much better at age 4-5. That's when they learn to not put as much crap in their mouths, to not touch their faces as much, and to sneeze/wash hands better...

We do a lot of the instant hand sanitizer whenever we leave a Germy place, and before they eat anything.

Are they at all better at home vs outside? My first thought is allergies (mold, dust?).

I think it is more likely a mold/pollen allergy. I had a terrible runny nose right through the 2nd grade when I was growing up and I've always been sensitive to mold, pollen, dust. My mom taught me to use a hankie but the teachers still complained. Now K1's teacher is fussing too. I was just wondering if there is anything more I can do for him. I don't want him to gross everyone out with his boogers.
