How do you fly with a baby?

It went well - except that she might hate deplaning! We are going to invest in that more permanent carseat cover though.

First flight was totally easy. I wore her the entire time and she nursed the second half of the flight. Puked down my shirt while deplaning. Like literally into the v-neck and all down into my bra.

Second flight was also pretty easy. Except that she blew out the diaper while we landed and then puked down my jacket, scarf, and shirt as I waited to deplane. And of course there's no family bathroom at the CLE airport and they sent the car seat to the baggage carosel so I had to change her solo covered in poop and spit-up with nowhere to put her down while I set up to do a diaper change in the ladies room.

We survived. I have to fly solo with her in 10 days to see the doctor again and I need a more extensive diaper bag and to ditch my purse because I need all hands available to her at all times.

Oh, and the one weird thing...the flight attendant made me take her out of the K'tan for takeoff on the second flight "per FAA regulations". Apparently my baby doesn't need a seat and must be a projectile in the case of a crash instead of being secured to me. So that's awesome.

They make you take baby wearing devices (haha I dunno what they are called) because they can block the way for others in case of an emergency.

We weren't in an exit row. And I hate to break it to them but in the event of an emergency, I'm taking her with me!

I did see the doctor. He's an osteopath trained in osteopathic manipulations. I definitely had some alignment issues (that even I could tell). I'll post more later!

Haha I get it! But it's a worst-case scenario thing...don't want to get into the morbid details. Anyway, last time I flew, I ended up sitting next to a crazy flight attendant or whatever they are called now, and she explained a bunch of the super random rules. It was informative and annoying at the same time!

            Keep us posted!

Yay for OMT! I seriously love that shit. As a matter of fact, DH just adjusted me before bed tonight. It's awesome.

So his goal was to make sure that my body was in a place where it could heal. Obviously he doesn't have any magic nerve potion so I wasn't expecting huge results but I am happy with my OMT. I was definitely not in alignment in my legs or my back. I feel better and my posture is definitely better. Whether that helps the nerves, we'll never be sure (no improvement yet) but we're hopeful! Since no one will give me a straight answer, at least I feel like I'm doing something!

Do you have any change? I'm glad you made it through flying and hoping you'll have some good results! I also have some Girl Scout cookies with your name on them...I'll be in touch to see when I can bring them to you!

No change, none at all. I'm learning to compensate so I'm functionally slightly improved but literally NO improvement at all (as measured by both myself and my physical therapist).

I am in PT but honestly pt does nothing for nerves. It's only helping keep the surrounding muscles toned. The impacted muscles will not fire at all on their own.

Prognosis is 4-6 weeks, 6-8 weeks, or. 6 months depending on who you ask. It's been almost 5 weeks. Dh says we'll get a second opinion if no change at the next emg in ten days.
