  • Mommy Guilt/ mom blog

So, I recently started a mom blog. I have been reading a lot of mom blogs recently, and have really been enjoying them, so I decided to start one myself! I have been doing a lot of thinking about the subject of Mommy Guilt lately, so I decided to write my first post about that. If you're interested, you can check it out at:

Also, if any of you have your own mom blogs, I would be very interested in reading them, so please post your websites if you have one!
    Thanks!

Ahhhh, mom guilt: When I finally decide that I really do *have to* go to the bathroom alone and my babies sit outside the door screaming and crying as if abandoned. But my toddler shoves books and magazines under the door which is kinda cool.

Seriously, I feel totally inept if every moment of the day isn't filled with enriching fun activities.

I sometimes feel guilty for not experiencing mom guilt. How's that for dysfunctional.

Guilt is for things like not protecting your kid from a known sex offender. It's not for decent peeps who go out of their way to raise children in the healthiest manner possible.

You're all fabulous parents. Mommy guilt can go fuck itself.

I don't really update my blog anymore. Just not enough time.

I feel mommy guilt today, though...it was one of those days where it was really hard to leave N. She woke up cooing and happy to see me and got so excited when I picked her up, but then I had to put her back down to leave. I miss her so much right now.

DD, that really puts things in perspective. I'll have to remember that. I'm way too hard on myself.

I've got one. I was so stressed last week about the nonstop training crud I totally forgot to take DD to dance class. She LOVES that class. Thankfully she's 2 and didn't know what was going on. I felt so bad. I didn't even remember she had the class until about a hour after it was over. Not forgetting class today!! LOL!

I enjoyed your post. . I think blogging is cathartic for new moms, and its a great way to reach out to other new moms since getting out of the house can be challenging. Good luck with your blog!

Here's mine... DS is really good at playing by himself. I should interpret this as I have a wonderful, independent, mostly self-controlled little boy. Instead? "You don't play with him enough, so he has to take care of himself!", says my stupid Mommy Guilt Voice.

Oh, I promise I'm not immune. I just also have flashes of "you suck, a good mom would be worried/sad/upset about x." For example, I feel guilty that I didn't feel bad about leaving DS at daycare longer than necessary yesterday so that I could eat and grocery shop alone. Poor example but yeah.

I can't say I have experienced mommy guilt yet, being only 22 weeks pregnant but I did read and find your blog very interesting and entertaining. As I enter this crazy/fun stage would love sme of your recommendations for your favorite mom blogs...
