Dd is set to be a flower girl in my bil's wedding in July. The bride has selected a long, sleeveless dress for dd to wear. It is a very pale yellow (looks white in the picture she sent me). I'm supposed to buy shoes and a sweater for the dress, and am wondering what color to go with.
I looked on target.com and at payless.com, and found ivory and white Mary Janes that would work, but my feeling is that they're a little boring. I made the mistake of going to Flora and Henri and saw these: http://www.florahenri.com/catalog/pr...id=41&pid=2289
They're gold. Is that crazy? Of course, I'm not going to buy these $100 Mary Janes for my 2-year old, but I got to thinking that a color other than ivory might be kind of nice, and dd would actually be able to wear them with something else when we're done with this wedding.
We aren't church-goers and don't do Easter dresses or anything like that, so the shoes really would just be for this occasion.
AND... My sense it that dd isn't even going to walk down the aisle. She will be so scared. I'm pretty sure dh is going to have to drag our screaming bebe to wherever she has to go. That's what you get when you ask a toddler to do this... They've been warned.
