  • Potty Training Stories

We need a thread for this - why don't we have one?

Here is our story for the day - keep in mind, I'm not potty training, I'm just trying to get R familiar with his body because while I think he really is ready I don't have a few days to focus on it until about this time next month. He is 22 months old.

So R has been going potty in the potty when he wants something, mainly wants to wear his pull-ups. After bath tonight, he had already earned his pull-up but I asked him if needed to go again anyway. He said he did so he went in and sat while I went in to help A get dressed. When I went back in the bathroom R was standing over the potty with this horrified look on his face and said, "what is that?" He had pooped on the potty and had NO idea what it was, it was hilarious. A and I got very excited for him and he still had this look on his face like what is that and why are you two so excited about it.

It was quite funny and then as we were continuing to get ready for bed he says, "there was a snake in my potty!" I wanted to die laughing but just kept saying how proud I was of him and how excited. It was very funny.
Wife to NSG out of training, mom to 2, 10 & 8, and a beagle with wings.

Sophie is the queen of skid marks, only she calls them "scrapes", which cracks me up. Until it is the 4th time it happens in a single day.
