So, A is in the "button pushing" stage. She LOVES pressing buttons and getting a "mechanical" reaction (something pops up or lights up). Not so much if something makes noise or plays music (except her little keyboard). She could sit next to DH and press the "caps lock" button for days, just so that little tiny light comes on and off! We laugh because she first has to "get out her presser" (stick out her pointer finger), and she will only press with her pointer finger on her right hand

Any recs for toys for her? We have the little strip of animals that pop up when you press/rotate/click the buttons. She only uses the middle animal - as he's the only one with a true button!

LeapFrog alphabet toys, maybe? They also usually have a volume setting so that they don't drive you inane.

Does she have the Baby Einstein musical toy (had a colorful dial and each time you press it, a new song comes on with flashing lights). It's the only one that didn't annoy me--and you can set the volume to low!

My A loves buttons too. She also LOVES the caps lock button, which makes typing anything really difficult. lol

We haven't found anything that she likes better than actual buttons that she isn't supposed to push, but she loves this toy. It doesn't have buttons, but it has a good cause and effect type thing going on.

She does! It's one of her "car" toys. She likes some songs better than others and will cycle through to find what she wants

Do you think she'd like something like this? It's got a big button on the top, and balls pop and it spins when it's pushed. It's a big hit with both kids. We got it pretty cheap at Kohls. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000GB...sr=8-7&pi=SL75

Target has this new line of toys (in cardboard boxes) that have a few fun options. They made baby keys that actually look like keys and a car clicker. N loved it.

I'll have to check out the Tolo one, TL! LM - she has one of those at Gma's and loves it We're trying to avoid a lot of toys that play music or make noise - but at some point it's inevitable!

LOL, I've learned to love V-Tech... They're the noisiest, most obnoxious toys imaginable, but they keep the kids entertained for the longest!

It's more because DH thinks that they over-stimulate kids. He would rather her have old-fashioned toys that don't talk at you to play with them
