Yes, this! A few weeks into my temp job before I had my first, a coworker I barely knew was thrilled that I wanted her old baby clothes. I got boy clothes for up through 2T! Now I know why she was so thrilled. Used baby stuff is like fruitcake - no one wants it!

i calculated food and diapers were about $5 to $7 per day depending on bf/diapers. other stuff like crib/clothes, you should get used. babies spit/soil clothes like crazy. no point in getting new. surprisingly, kids were cheaper when they're younger. now that my kids are older--they're costing me at least 5k each a yr--and that's just in activities/school.

Sure LadyFoot if it all works out. One thing I've learned from growing up in a big family is that little babies don't need much. They're happy with second hand stuff and plastic bottles for toys because they're tiny and don't know the difference. You can get away with garage sale toys and other used items and they won't know the difference when they're little. It's when they start getting older and more conscious that it becomes an issue.

I will! I'd prefer to post the location in the private forums, but I haven't hit my 100 posts yet. Looking forward to getting to know everyone in more detail when I make it to the "other side"!
