  • Walking!

E started walking over the weekend! She's been cruising forever now, and finally standing independently over the last month or two, and it was clear that she was physically capable of walking, she just hadn't realized it. She's in a class of walkers at school, and I really want to take her to a gymnastics class for walkers (with parent participation), so we felt like it was time to make it happen. On Thursday, my mom and I spent a while holding her and walking in between us, but she didn't quite pick it up. Finally, on Saturday, she was holding on to the cocktail ottoman and I was sitting on the couch with her shoes, which she LOVES, and she finally decided to let go and take a couple of steps toward me. I love the look of excitement and pride on her face when she does it! She hasn't done much other than take a few steps in between things or people, but I think she'll really take off soon. I've watched this video probably a hundred times!

She gets a little more steady and confident each day. She hasn't walked for her teachers though, making me look like a total liar!
