I popped on and then off so I feel sort of lousy asking for help. But I'm doing it anyway 😉

J- has been working on his first two teeth for MONTHS. Three at least. The gums above them are so swollen and opaque that people see them above his lips when he smiles and think they ARE teeth. Any advice on how to speed up this process?

    Thanks!

    Speed up, or survive?

Survive? Motrin, breast milk ice cubes, Sophie the giraffe (or other favorite gumming toy), Etc.

Poor guy! No tips on speeding it up, but my guys have liked chewing on frozen washcloths. Hope those teeth start coming through soon!

How old? Nothing gets us through but regular doses of ibuprofen and tylenol, though DH worries when we give him it so often in a short time period. Ibuprofen is definitely better if he's old enough.

He is 7mo this Friday (19th). Thanks ladies, I will keep at it. Some of that I've tried (he doesn't like the rough washcloth , I think it hurts... I shall give him Tylenol before, maybe that will help) and some I haven't. I really knew there wasn't a way to speed up the process but one can always hope, right? 😉

Now to figure out how to get him to go down for his afternoon nap consistently. Truth be told I don't think the teeth are helping that either, heh.
