You've done so much for her! Sucks that we don't live in a perfect world, but...we don't. Here's an article on combination feeding. http://kellymom.com/ages/weaning/wea...aning-partial/

E wouldn't take Gerber, so I was going to try Similac next. Every baby is different, and you'll find what works for you!

You did great! Go you!
We brought a box of powdered formula to daycare and left it there. They prepped the bottles for us. I'd definitely ask the teachers what they'd like you to do.
I stopped pumping around 7 months, but kept breastfeeding in the morning and evening until a little after 1 year. Pumping is a pain. We did some test runs with formula at home and found that DS was perfectly happy to slurp it up (even the cheap Target brand), so minimal transitioning necessary. YMMV, obviously. We started by switching out one breastmilk bottle a day for formula bottle, then another, then a third, as we exhausted the freezer stash. By 1, he was getting 3 6-oz bottles of formula a day (little piglet).
Seriously though, the daycare teachers will have done this plenty of times before and should be able to help you. And again, you did a great job!Julia - legislative process lover and general government nerd, married to a PICU & Medical Ethics attending, raising a toddler son and expecting a baby daughter Oct '16.

I'm still hanging on with pumping and nursing. I thought I was 100% done, but I backtracked and kept at it a little longer, only getting about 2/3 of what I need for the next day and supplementing that with either freezer stash or formula depending on how much we need. I tried Similac Organic first, and she took it, so I guess that works. I'm trying not to make myself crazy about it, but it seems I have an obsessive compulsive problem associated with lactation.... I'm only half joking.Wife of PGY-4 (of 6), cat herder, and mom to a sassy-pants four-nager.
