  • And again.... room parent

The general consensus is that volunteering to be a room parent isn't the best idea??

It's really not my thing. But I kind of feel guilty since I have two kids in the class....

Do you enjoy that stuff? If not, I wouldn't.

I don't *hate* the work, it just wasn't the best time in my life to dive into it with all these young kids and no husband around.
Married to a newly minted Pediatric Rad, momma to a sweet girl and a bunch of (mostly) cute boy monsters.

As an introvert, I don't like it.

Yeah no. Not my thing at all.

I just feel bad because the form is like... oh what do you do for a living (watch my kids), list the members of the kid's household (just his brother - also in the class), volunteer for something (no thanks - I'm too busy). Lol.

I'm not going to It will drive me crazy. I'll volunteer for this parent association board thing - which I'm sure will also suck... but option 3 is being a substitute teacher... GAH! God no. I can't even deal my own two.

Don't do it. I did it once, and even split duties with another mom. Huge head ache, never again. Now I volunteer to bring snacks and be a mystery reader.

I said no... but then had a flashback of checking yes on the first application. I'm just going to say that our circumstances have changed and I can't do it. Lol. Oops!
