Have any of you used the Merlin sleep suit? It's supposed to help transition out of the swaddle and a friend said it helped her during the 4 month sleep regression (which we seem to have started this week--ack). Thoughts? G is swaddled each night now but starting to break through a bit. He actually did nap in the crib at daycare without anything, but I'm not sure he can do that at night yet and actually stay asleep for any significant length of time. I guess my only concern is overheating, though I use AC so I'm not too worried. He isn't rolling back to front yet.

We used it with DS1. It worked well as he transitioned out of the swaddle. He certainly didn’t sleep *worse* in it, but not much better either. 🤷🏼*♀️ We didn’t end up using it with DS2 or DD. I’d still say it’s worth a try though, especially if you can borrow one or buy it used.
What about those zipadee things? Are people using those as a swaddled transition now?

Thanks! I think I found a used one so I may give it a shot. Four month sleep regression is killing meeeeee.

I loved them! It was cool by the time we started to use them. But FYI - only the fleece suits worked for us. The cotton wasn’t snug enough.

My experience was that it was helpful for transitioning out of the swaddle but wasn’t magic. And that if your baby is on the border between the two sizes get the smaller size (unlike with most kids’ stuff). Getting one used is a great idea. Good luck!
