Re: Any homeschoolers?
Not a homeschooler, but the idea appeals to me more and more with each passing day. One of my bestest friends hs. She and some life experience have come a long way in convincing me of the efficacy of hs.

Re: Any homeschoolers?
I just started hs my first grader with special needs. I wish I had started this back in September! We had to pull him out of school because the issues got so bad. I was terrified to do it, but I am very happy with how it is going.
Now I just have to decide if I am going to hs my DD next year as well.

Just out of curiosity, did anyone see this article about a CA court ruling that homeschooling is illegal?

I don't home school, but I'm totally gobsmacked.

Re: Any homeschoolers?
Honestly, I wouldn't worry about that judge's ruling.
It's going to be overturned since it is so obviously one man's political/personal opinion which he is trying to thrust on the general populace through his office as a judge.
Yes, Projectmom, I homeschool four of my children (six altogether) right now. They are on varying levels of work.
I can answer any questions you might have. If I don't know the answer immediately I will try to find it for you.
My first recommendation if you are beginning to homeschool is to read, read, read! There are a lot of homeschooling books out there that can give you insight into how you might want to go about it.
Let me know if you need any information.
