Our neighbors have three girls about the same ages as our kids. The neighbors have company right now and the oldest two are about the ages of my oldest two. They have been in and out of my house all day.
A picked up one of the cats and Anna told her "You can't hold the cats because they had surgery." We had told them to give the cats a break on Monday since they just got neutered. The oldest visiting girl looked a little concerned and said, "Who got surgery?" I said it was one of the cats. She looked a little more concerned so I said, "Oh, he just got neutered." Concerned changed to confused. "Er...it's just so they can't have kittens."
And then Bryn says, "Well, mom, it is actually so they can't be in the business of making kittens. Male cats can't have kittens."
Now the other kid looks even more confused. Go back outside, kids!
