  • Tinkerbell themed gift ideas?

So my stepmother just forwarded me an email about her family's gift exchange. Apparently, her mother entered all the 'kids' (all of her grandchildren) into a hat and we are doing a gift exchange. Except that my stepmom didn't tell me for 3 weeks and I need to send a gift by Friday.

I pulled a 7 year old girl and frankly I'm lost as to what to get her that is within the $25 limit and the instrutions to be 'crafty'. According to her mother, her interests are dogs, music, and Tinkerbell. While this might seem easy, I don't just want to cop out and get her something stupid. Obviously I could go on Amazon and just order something Tinkerbell themed but I feel badly doing that to this little girl because I'm pretty sure the rest of the grandkids are making gifts/have been planning their gifts for weeks from the email chain that got forwarded. Are there kids websites I should be looking at for ideas? Is there something I could do at Joann's on Friday AM before I have to send it that's marginally crafty?

(P.S. I know this must seem horribly pathetic but I have no children and am stuck in a hotel room in Jersey on a business trip pulling an all-nighter tonight)

I'm thinking fairy wings and a wand. Does Tinkerbell have a wand?

I remember seeing some cute fairy sorts of things on hearthsong.com but that might be too young for a 7 yo. I think there is a Disney Tinkerbell movie? Oops, a video isn't crafty.

I wonder if you could find a Tinkerbell pillowcase or something? Or some sort of glittery diaphanous sort of art project. I have an 8 year old and I'm stumped. I'm giving her a best of Abba CD as one of her Christmas gifts.

I love the Klutz books and and you can find them easily. They are usually well-received for that age range.

Are you the one that is supposed to create the craft? Or can you get a present that is a craft for her to make (If I were 7, I would prefer to make it myself).

What if you made her a scrapbook kit for her to put together: you could get her a mini scrapbook and find lots of Tinkerbell stickers, glitter, green and yellow papers etc., photo glue stick. I'm sure they have some stuff at Michaels or Hobby Lobby since Tinkerbell is so hot right now...you could even check Walmart.

This is cute (never heard of these sites): http://www.shopatron.com/product/part_n ... 9012/505.0

or you could get it separately: (from same seller on amazon)

That is all I can think of right now...hope you find something you feel good about!

Those are all great ideas! I bet I can get the scrapbook stuff at Joann's and put together my own little kit for her. I think I'm just annoyed because this isn't that hard if I had more than 5 minutes to put it all together.

Didn't really read the replies, but there is a Tinkerbell "room kit" at Joann's for like $20. It has a paint-your-own lightswitch cover and some other stuff!

Sorry, I know this is late, but Michael's has a huge selection of Tinkerbell art stuff. DD2 is a major Tinkerbell nut and with a grandma managing a Michael's, we've got a ton of this stuff.
