  • Sleepwalking?

My two oldest kids have been getting up and asking for things but seem to still be asleep. I think it is harmless but also kind of hilarious.

DD1 asked for sprinkles on her...hummbushhb...sprinkles on my face.

Last night DD2 asked Dh to get the crabs out of her bed. Twice. We had been crabbing that day so that was probably the reason. She didn't seem awake when she asked.

DD2 did this once this summer in the early morning (and went outside). Do your kids do this?

When Caroline was 4 years old we actually watched her walk downstairs, pull her pants down, and ALMOST pee on the couch. She thought she was in the bathroom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our two oldest used to walk and talk in their sleep. Not so much with the younger ones.

I did it as a child, and got pretty good at scaring my parents by:
-unlocking, opening the front door, and walking towards the street
-threatening to call the cops on an intruder (my mother)
-telling my father i needed to cu the dragon's tail
-convincing my vacationing family (in FL) that a giant snake had come into our hotel room from under the door
-opening all the cabinets and fridge in my own apartment in college

        :P

I am more prone to sleepwalk as an adult if I have a lot of very stressful things going on at once

Interesting about the stress adding to it. I'll have to keep that in mind. DD1 is really tired and had a busy weekend so maybe that is it.

DD2 gave me a scare when she went outside a few months ago. It was early in the morning, before 7am and close to the time she would wake up. She walked by me -- I thought she was headed for the bathroom. I heard the garage door open and thought DH had come back for something (I was still a little sleepy too!). I realized I didn't see him and that she had gone out the door. I found her walking around on the lawn looking for a good place to make a phone call.

My 8 year old DS gave us a start several times by screaming from his room that there were bees in his bed. He'd be asleep by the time we got in there...no bees...
When he was 3 he went through a bout of night terrors (screaming and crying and crawling into a corner) but he got over that quickly.

                Too funny!
My oldest does this - she is 6. She can't seem to wake up for the life of her, to go to the bathroom. She will sometimes cry all the way to the bathroom, go pee, then cry all the way back to her bed and fall back asleep!
                I don't get it!
